Description of Oxandrolone

Oxandrolone, known as Anavar, was originally developed to help patients with HIV infection recover from burns and anemia. It was later widely used in bodybuilding to increase firmness and relax muscles, burn subcutaneous fat, increase strength and endurance.

Oxandrolone is an anabolic and androgenic steroid. It was first sold by Searle Laboratories in 1964. Today it is known by many brands including Vasorom, Anatrophyll, Anavar and Oksandrin. Oxandrolone is an artificial steroid with a heterocyclic ring A in which the oxygen atom replaces the carbon atom. The steroid is very popular due to its low androgenic activity and high anabolic index.

Like many other AAS, Oxandrolone was originally developed for medical use. It is used to treat anemia, Turner syndrome, to fight HIV infection, to strengthen bones, and to treat burns. Some time has passed and Anavar is firmly established in the pharmacology of sports. It is a prohibited drug for athletes.

Steroid profile

Steroid profile
  • Anabolic activity – 400% Testosterone
  • Androgenic effect – 25% testosterone
  • Insufficient estrogen conversion (aromatization)
  • Hepatic effects are mild / moderate
  • Release form – tablets
  • Shelf life is up to 12 hours
  • Doping control detection time – up to one and a half months

I have to say that taking Oxandrolone is perhaps the best choice for women. The low probability and intensity of adverse reactions (high anabolic index) indicate the exceptional safety of Anavar.

Effects of using Oxandrolone

  • Increase in muscle stiffness and relaxation. Steroids are most commonly used for this purpose. Bodybuilders gain quality and preserved muscle mass without fluid retention on dry courses with Oxandrolone

  • Increased growth hormone levels
  • Burn body fat

Side effects

Side effects

Preparations containing oxandrolone do not cause significant liver damage, despite being a 17-alpha-acylated steroid. Studies have shown that taking Anavar at a dose of 20 milligrams per day has no effect on liver enzymes. Oxandrolone does not aromatize and therefore does not cause estrogenic effects. The potential side effects of Oxandrolone have to do with the steroid’s ability to inhibit testosterone production, albeit slightly.

When recommended doses are exceeded, the body’s hormone levels remain too high and testosterone production stops. In the most severe cases, this can lead to testicular atrophy. However, if you follow the instructions in the Anavar leaflet and your doctor’s instructions, 99% of the side effects will not occur.

Reviews on Oxandrolone

Athletes who use steroids in preparation for competitions note the pronounced fat-burning properties, the ability to increase strength without a rapid increase in muscle mass. Anavar reviews speak of its effectiveness at a very high price. Not every athlete (and especially a beginner) can afford to buy a drug. It is mainly used by professionals.

Reviews of the fairer sex Oxandrolone point to the safety of the steroid. Many athletes use Anavar doses of 10-20 milligrams and experience no side effects.
